REVAMP YOUR LAUNDRY ROOM ON A BUDGET

laundry-room

In most homes, the laundry room is the last concern when it comes to décor and organization because…let’s face it, only boring tasks take place there. Luckily with a few tips and tricks, you can create a more enjoyable and organized system of tackling your family’s weekly laundry.

The laundry room generally consists of bulky items. Detergent bottles, stacks of dryer sheet boxes, piles of dirty clothes, and laundry baskets. To create a more efficient system for yourself, invest in some free standing shelves and square shaped wicker baskets to store all of your supplies in. This will not only help you stay organized, but will also give your laundry room a chic and polished look without breaking the bank.

Re-paint your walls a pleasing color. Who wants to spend time in an all-white, sterile looking room? It’s one of the easiest changes you can make, and it will have a huge impact on your mood and overall laundry-doing experience!

Pick out a textured throw rug with a fun pattern to liven things up in your space. Regardless of the size of your laundry room, chances are, underneath all those clothes, the floor is bare. Adding something with a chevron or striped print is a simple addition that will make the room feel bigger and brighter.

Personalize! Create a laundry calendar by using chalkboard paint on a small wall to help keep yourself on track with laundry duties. Add a small houseplant, a clear apothecary jar to house detergent pods, and hang some small framed pictures…voila! Your laundry room is now a clean clothes sanctuary!

Dream. Build. Live.
