Picking your favorite team
Maronda Homes covers many different professional sports teams and also college teams, and if you buy a home with us these are some easy steps to follow and find your new team.
Think about your area or hometown. Do you have a big football team close by?(Maybe the Steelers or Bengels) If so, that could be your favorite. Chances are, your friends and neighbors will support the same team, which can make for some fun game days together.
- You might also choose to route for the local underdog or the team your coworkers and neighbors don’t like. This will lead to competitive fun!!
Do some research. To find a favorite team, you have to do your homework. Read about their standings in the league, and get to know the players. Do your research during the training season, and read up on past years’ performances and league standings, so you’re not starting the season without knowing the backstory.
Consider your favorite players, too. Lots of people choose based on players. Who do you like? You need not like all the players on a team, but if you’ve got a favorite player, why not support his whole team!
Look at the stats. Some fans like to route for the top teams, or even always go for underdogs. Or just jump on the bandwagon!!
Consider the colors. This may not be as a big a concern for everyone, but it’s worth some thought. Do the colors for the teams you’re considering look good on you? Avid fans own all their favorite team’s gear, so it’s worth thinking about how you’ll look in the color combination.
Watch them play! See what runs smoothly with their plays — offense, defense, goals or touchdowns. There’s nothing like seeing the players in action to decide whether you respect their skill and performance.
- If you truly like a team, it doesn’t matter that they get every play right, only how you yourself see them. If they’re not superstars, but you see them as so, then you’ve found your favorite.
