The historic town of Lancaster Ohio can provide everything you are looking for in a new community. A historic downtown business district, a burgeoning food scene,  open spaces and a large park system are just a few of the highlights of this small town. With easy access to the state capitol Lancaster, is a great fit for those who work in Columbus.

The historic downtown business district is home several excellent restaurants including the Ale House 1890 Restaurant and Bar.  Every saturday from May – October the Lancaster Handmade Market offers local craftsman and artist a place to shop their wares, giving local residents a bevy of art and crafts to enjoy. 

The Lancaster city school district is a highly regarded district that is consistently ranked as a top school district in the state of Ohio by the US News and World Report. The town is also home to a branch campus of Ohio Univeristy which maintains a strong collaborative relationship with the community.

Lancaster is also the home of famed Civil War general William T. Sherman. As Lancaster’s native son, the Sherman household is now a listed on the Register of Historic Places and currently functions as a museum and stopping point on the Civil War Discovery Trail. There’s more to love about Lancaster when you venture out in to Fairfield County. Four different park systems offer over 8,000 acres of green space where those who love the outdoors can hike, play, picnic and relax.
