Land Acquisition Manager:
Qualifications: 5-7 years experience in the residential land acquisition field.
Educational background: Minimum of a 4 year college degree.
Job Description: Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate must have a working knowledge of Excel and Word. Candidate would be responsible for identifying land to be acquired for single family and multifamily projects within the Pittsburgh region. Candidate would have the ability to negotiate the purchase of land for development and the ability to negotiate lot acquisition agreements with existing developers throughout the Pittsburgh region. Candidate would have a general working knowledge of subdivision and zoning ordinances. Candidate would have a general working understanding of residential land development. Candidate would have a general understanding of engineering design and required permitting related to the various projects and be able to communicate effectively with engineers, lawyers, property owners and municipal staff at a high level. Candidate would be able to work with consultants to estimate potential development costs for a project to determine land value offers and project viability based on retail market values for various areas in and around the Pittsburgh market. Candidate would be able to assist outside developers with bank financing and have a general understanding of bank lending requirements. Candidate would work closely with the Division Manager/Vice President of the Pittsburgh Region to accomplish company goals.
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
