Home Buying Process

Home Buying Process

Purchasing a new home is an exciting process. At Maronda Homes, we strive to ensure the process run as smoothly as possible from start to finish. The Maronda team will guide you through each of these important steps to provide you an unforgettable experience with memories that last a lifetime.

Select Your New Home Community and Home Site

Selecting the home site that's perfect for you and your family is an important step in the process. We encourage homeowners to be very specific with their location. For example, you may prefer your home to face west so your deck is in the shade in the afternoon, have a view of the woods, or be at the end of a cul-de-sac. Experience the advantages of selecting your own homesite by talking with one of our knowledgeable new home sales consultants today.

TIP:  If you're not familiar with the location of your home, you can drive your daily commutes to find out your new drive time. You can also explore the community by visiting the local malls, restaurants, stores and schools to gain a better understanding of the area.

Choose Your Home Design

Set up a meeting with your sales consultant to select a home design and floor plan layout that matches your unique lifestyle from our extensive portfolio of home designs. Your experienced new home sales specialist will guide you through the entire process with a detailed cost estimate and financing information to ensure you get the house you want at a price you can afford.

TIP:   You may fall in love with a home design that is ideally suited for home site other than the one you initially selected. If this is the case, you may have to reselect a more suitable location in the community or re-evaluate your home design selection. Your experienced new home sales counselor will help guide you through the process.

Personalize Your Features and Finishes

Maronda Homes offers a wide variety of exterior and interior choices to allow you to personalize your home to suit your style. After you’ve made your selections and given your home design a final review, your new home sale specialist will update your estimate to reflect any extras that may have been selected during the personalization process.

TIP:   The best way to find out how much you can afford is to get pre-qualified for a loan. From here, you can determine a comfortable spending range. For monthly payment ranges, remember that today's interest rate could help you get a greater value on a home for a reasonable monthly payment.

Secure Financing for Your New Home

You are ready to build your new home and the next step in the process is to meet with your loan officer and secure financing. When it comes time to meet with your loan officer, make sure to bring all of the documentation provided to you from your new home sales representative to your appointment.

Finalize Your New Home Selections

Arrange a meeting with your new home sales specialist to review your home design and selections. Once satisfied with your personalization, authorize your new home selections and execute the sales agreement.

TIP:  Bring your driver's license and checkbook to secure your preferred home site and prevent potentially costly delays.Your earnest deposit will be credited toward cash at the closing of your new home.
